It is vital that teachers and students are able to hear and be heard, and research suggests that acoustic conditions in the classroom can have a significant influence on educational outcomes.

How we do it
Building Bulletin 93 (BB93), part of the Building Regulations, presents minimum standards for school acoustics in terms of sound insulation, reverberation time and internal ambient noise levels. We can assist through every stage of the school project lifecycle, to help meet and exceed these standards.
Feasibility
We carry out environmental noise surveys to establish site suitability and direct the design at concept stage, highlighting acoustic issues from the outset.
Design Requirements
We review proposals and establish acoustic design targets to achieve the requirements of the client and Building Bulletin 93 (as a minimum).
Detailed Design
We provide detailed advice on how to meet these targets including building envelope design, construction of internal divisions, room finishes and ventilation system design.
Commissioning
We provide full acoustic testing services and as a company.
