Air Quality

Construction work can result in negative impacts on local air quality, with dust emissions being a key concern for local authorities and their communities. Our air quality team offer expert air quality services tailored to meet the individual needs of your project, at the planning, consent and construction stages.

We provide all aspects of dust assessment, dispersal modelling, dust management plans and monitoring. Our environmental construction team will help you gain planning consent on any air quality requirements.

Air Quality and Acoustics go hand in hand in the planning and construction process. Despite our company name, our team are experts in air quality assessments, modelling, management plans and dust monitoring for any size of project. John Newman, Client Success Director, Anderson Acoustics

How we do it

Air Quality Monitoring

Whether you need monitoring of dust and deposition during construction works, ambient monitoring of open spaces or emissions and workplace monitoring of plant and machinery, we can help.

Designers at hand

We work with you and your team to provide expert advice on air quality design, alongside or separately from our usual acoustic design services. We can liaise with relevant stakeholders on your behalf, including the Environment Agency, Local Authorities and affected local community members too.

Air Quality Assessments

When potential impacts on air quality are likely, an AQ assessment may be necessary. We provide air quality and dust impact assessments across all sectors, as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process or as required by planning conditions. Assessments will be tailored to your project and any identified sources of emissions and/or local receptors.

Ensuring compliance

We can provide consultancy advice on the appropriate measures needed to control emissions, manage dust and to mitigate impacts, including dust management plans and advanced modelling, to enable us to advise on likely impacts and dispersion.
