We have provided UKAS accredited sound insulation testing on a wide variety of residential and commercial premises since gaining accreditation in 2007. Tests are conducted in accordance with international standards and are required to demonstrate compliance with performance standards such as Approved Document E (ADE) of the Building Regulations, the Code for Sustainable Homes and other BREEAM schemes.
We have conducted thousands of pre-completion tests on developments from 2 to over 800 dwellings, schools and offices. Our continued accreditation gives you confidence that we’re doing the job in the right way. We offer efficient response and completion and will work with you to make the process as seamless as possible. In the event of failure, we won’t walk away and will work with you to obtain compliance.

How we do it
Airborne wall test
Airborne tests are conducted for walls between rooms in horizontally separated dwellings. The performance is defined by the "sound level difference" measured between the source room and adjoining receiver room.
Impact and Airborne floor test
Airborne and impact tests are conducted between pairs of vertically separated dwellings. Impact sound performance is defined by a "sound level" measured in a receive room below a tapping machine. The "sound level difference" measured between the source and adjoining receive room defines airborne performance.
Analysis and Report Certificate
On return to the office, the measurements are analysed. We aim to issue results and a report within 5 working days. Note ADE requires one set of tests (2 airborne wall, 2 airborne floor and 2 impact tests) for every 10 dwellings.
