A redevelopment of the former Colindale hospital has been carried out to transform the area into a vibrant new neighbourhood for the community. The mixed use site was to provide over 1000 square metres of commercial space and 726 residential units and sought to provide better living standards including an enhanced level of sound insulation under the guidance set out in the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Working closely with the client, Fairview New Homes, a programme of pre-completion sound insulation testing was drawn up to suit the development’s needs. More than 500 successful sound insulation tests have been conducted, all within the desired timescale and with no handover delays.
Our collaborative approach on this project enabled us to quickly and efficiently undertake the work required, reducing the number of site visits and minimising costs to the client. We continue to work with Fairview New Homes on the remaining phases of the development.
