Supporting Charitable Causes

When our profits allow, we make it a priority to support a variety of causes through the provision of charitable donations. Employee Owners have the opportunity to recommend charities that are important to them and to the company and donations are then approved by our Trustee Directors.

Profits from our recent quarterly performance have allowed us to contribute a first time donation to these charities, on top of our regular donation to both The Manna Society and The Clock Tower Sanctuary, Brighton:-

ReachOut run after-school mentoring projects that build socio-emotional skills which transform outcomes for 9-14 year olds. They define these skills as empathy, responsibility, problem solving, initiative, teamwork and emotion management. “This is brilliant news, thank you” Susanna Allegretti, Corporate Partnerships Officer

Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides passionate palliative care for the community that need it.  “It means such a lot to our doctors, nurses, therapists and support staff when individuals like you choose to support their work, especially when you have so many other worthwhile causes to choose from. It’s thanks only to your kindness and generosity, and that of others like you, that we can continue providing the standard-of-life care that we are so well known for. That is no exaggeration. Our annual running costs have risen to £5.6million. Only 17% of it comes from government sources. Whilst our costs continue to rise, government funding stays the same. That’s why we depend so much on donations such as yours.  Your donation will go directly to caring for our inpatients and outpatients, as well providing bereavement counselling for young people, family support and therapies.” Justin Caroe, Head of Fundraising

Wishing Well Music for Health  deliver around 300 participatory music-making sessions in healthcare settings across Sussex and Surrey each year, reaching around 2300 people. “What an absolutely wonderful email to receive! Please do pass our huge thanks to everyone at Anderson Acoustics for choosing us. As a grassroots charity with a lean staff team a very high percentage of donations goes directly towards creating joy and ease for people in hospital. Your donation will make a big difference to families going through tricky times.” Joe White, Founder and CEO

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People rebuild connection, companionship, and confidence through trained hearing dogs, practical and emotional support services; transforming the lives of people who are deaf or have hearing loss. “We want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your generous donation will help change someone’s life in the most meaningful way. Because of you, a person with hearing loss will feel more confident, more independent, and less alone in their everyday world.  Your support helps create incredible partnerships between deaf people and hearing dogs. These partnerships mean hearing a knock at the door, waking to an alarm, and feeling safe and connected again. Thanks to kindness like yours, this year: • Over 3,000 people were supported through our services; • 48 life changing dogs were placed with deaf individuals; • More than 1,000 hearing dog partnerships were supported.  We are so grateful. Your donation does not just fund our work, it brings comfort, reassurance, and life changing companionship to someone who needs it most.  Thank you for making such a difference 🐾” Rachel Annetts, Commnity Fundraising Manager
