As consultants, too often we are removed from the main reason most of us do this job – the positive power that sound has had, and continues to have, in our lives.
Eduardo Manzano Fontecha was very grateful to have attended the THE FUTURE IS SOUND at the Barbican Centre earlier this month. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking event on the power of sound and music to heal, to shape culture, and to create individual and collective identity.
Great to have witnessed such insightful panels, which included discussions on the role that our industries have in pushing sustainability goals forward (Cathy Runciman, Beatie Wolfe (page), Sam Lee), the role of AI in shaping human creativity (https://lnkd.in/eBAf4cuS), and the proven value of music therapy (Sandra Schembri, Tom Middleton), among other topics.
Great to have seen tactile sound solutions mentioned as a means to interact with sound in a different way, as well as their use in the pursuit of better wellbeing and accessibility for everyone – something that we are exploring at Anderson Acoustics through our embodied listening experiences with vibro-acoustic benches!
Thanks Jimmy Kyriacou and the rest of the team for organizing this gathering, all the panelists for the brilliant talks, and artists for the wonderful performances.
