Noise Network Plus

Last month, we were lucky enough to attend the launch of Noise Network Plus, a major new EPSRC-funded initiative bringing together researchers, engineers, policymakers and industry voices to shape the future of noise management in the UK. The network is led by the University of Surrey.

The ambition? Nothing short of creating a quieter, healthier, and more inclusive world through better design, policy, technology and collaboration.

We left the first session energised and full of ideas. From inclusive engineering to AI, health and wellbeing to transport, the conversations cut across disciplines and sectors – and made one thing very clear: the challenge of noise pollution is too important to tackle in silos.

We’re especially excited to see the call for Working Groups now open, with themes ranging from education to sustainability, digital innovation to law and policy. These groups will be key in shaping long-term missions, supporting pilot projects, and driving real change.
