We were excited to attend the Employee Ownership Association (EOA) Conference at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on the 25th of November. This annual event celebrates the culture of shared endeavour, shared reward and shared voice that comes with shared ownership and held special significance for us as a new employee-owned business.
The flagship event brought together businesses at all stages in the employee ownership process, offering attendees an array of seminars, exhibitors, workshops and networking space to learn and share knowledge about the benefits of employee ownership.
We joined more than 680 attendees at the UK EO awards gala dinner hosted by BBC presenter Martine Croxall. The awards recognised individuals and organisations who have demonstrated excellence within the EO sector. We were inspired by stories from keynote speakers, award winners and fellow attendees, all of who believe (like we do) that employee owned businesses are better places to work, more resilient, sustainable and successful.
Since becoming employee-owners we have seen first-hand how this ownership model benefits our people, the business and our clients. We have seen greater engagement and discussion around all areas of the business which has led to improved training policies and systems, better working environment and a commitment to achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification by the end of the year.
We believe that a happy, autonomous and self-motivated team of employee-owners delivers the highest levels of service, quality and value.
Whilst the ownership structure of the company behind the scenes has altered, the day-to-day running of the company remains unchanged. We look forward to continuing our work with what we consider to be some of the best clients and projects in the industry.
