Pau Santamaria Pinyol had the pleasure of meeting the team at KILO Architects last week and to deliver a Lunch and Learn session looking at ‘Acoustics in Community Buildings.’
Pau discussed all things acoustics including for mixed-use developments, how to integrate places of worship with surrounding receptors from an acoustics perspective, and what can be done in existing buildings when their internal and external fabric elements are in poor condition.
He referenced several case studies related to room acoustics modelling projects that we have delivered, along with audio examples from various auralisations undertaken where a range of acoustic treatments have been applied in large volume multi-purpose spaces.
It was great to see the team so interested in the topic and engaged in the discussion.
A great testimonial from IPeng Kiang, Director of the Practice ‘Thank you for your time and for helping deepen our understanding of acoustic issues and requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and appreciated your input.’
