It was great see Caroline McKinlay take her place at the lectern last month for the presentation of her Institute of Acoustics LSBU Business School Diploma Research Project at the IoA London Branch AGM. Caroline was also the recipient of the Diploma Prize for the Class of ’25 so we are very proud.
Caroline reflected “I was very pleased to be invited to present my IoA Diploma project at the London Branch AGM. My project looked into the Impact of reverberation time and indoor ambient noise levels on acoustic comfort in school dining halls. I was very pleased with the positive reception with great follow up questions on topics like room volume considerations, speech intelligibility and if I would publish the research. I would absolutely be keen to publish a paper on the research and hope to do so in the coming year!”
