Tactile Sound

Transforming How We Listen

Feel the power of tactile sound

Developed by Emma Greenland PhD BEng MIOA, the vibroacoustic tactile sound bench combines cutting-edge audio technology with the natural resonance of live edge wood. Designed and hand-crafted in the UK to support purposeful and immersive listening, for sound related therapies and musical experience.

Where You’ve Seen Us: Events & Demonstrations

We’re passionate about sharing tactile sound with the world. Here are some of the events and festivals where the tactile sound bench has made an impact:

We brought tactile sound to the Deaf Rave community, making music accessible and enjoyable for d/Deaf and hearing friends alike. The bench was used for deep listening therapy and community experiences, supporting inclusion and accessibility.

Our bench featured in immersive performances, allowing everyone to feel the music, regardless of hearing ability.

Free mini taster sessions, discounted 60-minute sessions and attendance at the Launch event for this Festival. Wellness professionals and the general public explored the benefits of tactile sound first-hand.

We were the Mental Health and Wellbeing Theatre sponsor this year. As well as showcasing taster sessions on the tactile sound bench, we also  delivered panel sessions   for attendees   discussing the power of deep listening and the role of tactile sound .

The first ever   Brighton Sauna Festival  celebrating the birthplace of  modern coastal sauna experiences in the UK.  Taster sessions  allowing attendees to  experience tactile  sound  by the sea

We sponsored the DiMH Awards Games Area and offered taster sessions to conference and expo delegates.

Artist Demonstrations:
Dame Evelyn Glennie (world renowned percussionist):

Dame Evelyn shared her mission to promote active listening and tried the table when we visited the Evelyn Glennie Foundation.

King Creosote (singer/songwriter):

Tried the bench during his UK Tour 2025 and spoke positively about the experience, giving us a big shout out at his Brighton gig in May, inspiring the audience to explore tactile sound.

Max Cooper (electronic and techno music producer):
We spoke to Max Cooper ahead of his Brighton Festival gig and before the launch of the Feel The Sound exhibition at the Barbican where his benches incorporate tactile sound.
Company3 (a post production company):
