Current Vacancy: Senior Acoustic Consultant – Airport Noise- London Bridge

Anderson Acoustics is an environmental consultancy providing acoustics, noise, vibration, air quality and community engagement services to clients in the construction, planning and aviation sectors. We work on projects large and small, ranging from major infrastructure projects like Heathrow Expansion, HS2 and Thames Tideway to small projects with local businesses, architects, planners and builders.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Acoustic Consultant with 6+ years’ experience to play a significant role in our airports noise team.

This is a senior role and will make a significant contribution to defining the company strategy, delivering targeted growth, supporting our unique culture and developing our team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of airport noise projects from a technical, financial, quality and client satisfaction perspective
• Support the Associate Director of Airports on major projects
• Be the face of Anderson Acoustics to the client
• Manage and deliver client reports
• Analyse data and turn it into insight
• Lead or participate in client meetings
• Liaise with planning authorities and stakeholders
• Manage, mentor and develop team members

Requirements

• A Bachelors (2.1 or above), Masters or PhD in a physical science, engineering, mathematics or economics
• Member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA)
• A high level of numeracy and a talent for numerical analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong PC literacy – MS Excel, MATLAB and Word
• Willingness to learn other software tools including ArcGIS and CadnaA
• Highly motivated and able to work with limited direction
• Works on own initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues
• Comfortable in a flat, matrix organisation
