We are delighted to welcome our latest team member Peter Ling to Anderson Acoustics.
As Analyst Consultant, Peter will play a vital role within our Airports and Environmental Impact Assessment team offering his analytical expertise focussing on airport noise mapping and health impact analysis to help deliver strategic support to national infrastructure projects.
Peter graduated from the University of Bristol in 2012 with an MSci in mathematics and unsurprisingly loves solving complex problems. Over the last 6 years Peter has worked as a Geophysicist processing seismic data and among other skills has developed a deep knowledge of acoustic wave dynamics. His appreciation of sound and the related disciplines inspired Peter to explore other environments where his skills could be of benefit. Peter said…
“I was drawn to Anderson Acoustics because the company struck me as a very friendly, people-focused business who take on exciting cross-sector projects and produce top quality work. Since joining the environmental team, it has been pleasing for me to work with data modelling which will promote the development of sustainable Airports which will directly benefit communities by helping reduce noise from aircraft operations. I look forward growing my knowledge in this field and being part of a team who are committed to delivering acoustics for a better future”.
Anderson Acoustics seems to have a knack of attracting consultants who have a flair for music and Peter is no exception. Brimming with talent he plays guitar in two bands, is learning the drums and is now performing in venues around Brighton and has even gained some radio play through BBC Introducing!
Aside from music and analytics, peter enjoys hitting the beach in Brighton, watching movies and when possible to travel. His most recent wanderings include a visit to Turkey and India where he had a ‘proper cup of tea’ when he visited Darjeeling.
It is an exciting time at Anderson Acoustics as we welcome Peter to our growing employee-owned business.
